Joseph Savarese to Lead Hudson Insurance Group’s Wholesale Casualty Unit

Hudson Insurance Group (Hudson) today announced that it has appointed Joseph Savarese to lead its wholesale casualty business unit, which encompasses both primary general liability and excess liability. In addition to Mr. Savarese, Gerard O’Neill and Michael Dempsey have also joined Hudson to support this initiative. Both gentlemen will focus on primary general liability, while Mr. O’Neill will have the added responsibility of managing Hudson’s existing portfolio of excess liability business.

Mr. Savarese most recently served as the president of Navigators Specialty Insurance Company’s primary casualty department. His industry experience spans decades and encompasses primary underwriting, surplus lines brokerage and reinsurance brokerage.  He will report to Bill Schmidt, Senior Vice President, Hudson Insurance Group.

Hudson’s Wholesale Casualty unit focuses on construction risks and offers primary general liability with supported excess, as well as unsupported excess products. Select products liability insurance is also available.
